New Writer Confirmed

So apparently Peter Milligan (Justice League Dark/Red Lanterns) will be writing Stormwatch from issue 9 onwards (following Paul Jenkins' two part story).

What does everyone think? Personally I'm happy that Jenkins won't be the ongoing writer, and I did enjoy the first issue of JL:D so I'm tentatively hopeful. :)

Peter Milligan! Oh my God! He's one of the best writers in comics, period--his Vertigo miniseries were some of the best comics I've ever read in, like, 20 years of geekery.

I've heard his X-Men run wasn't great, and that's possible, I didn't read it so I couldn't say. But if Stormwatch isn't held under really tight superhero restrictions like X-Men was when he wrote it, I can still see him making magic.
