YAYAYAYAYAY!!! MY FIRST FILL!!! YOU ARE MY HERO! <3.<3
And don't beat yourself up about it! It was great! Sure, I would have liked it to be a little longer, but then, what do I read and enjoy where I don't want that? Also I think I'm following some of your WIP's, so... >>
I liked it, I really did. You almost had me in tears at some parts.
This was a really fresh take. I'm so glad you chose to fill this. In most Kurt!Rape stories (that is so a category), Kurt tries to keep it a secret, and the first person who finds out supports him even without his asking, and when his dad finds out, all Hell breaks loose. In your story, he tells his dad first, and his dad pretty much blows it off. He seeks help from his friends, and they all blow it off. (I know you know this...) It was a totally unique read. Also, Ms. Pillsbury almost never gets to be the hero, so yay for her!
This story feels complete. I'm not left feeling unsatisfied with the ending or anything, so I see no issue with the length. Also, I follow your WIPs, so you focusing on them is not something I'm going to argue with.
I get really angry when people say that men cannot be raped, and that women cannot be rapists. It's a sick double-standard. And it astonishes me, in a completely negative way, when I hear people genuinely tell me they believe that men cannot be victims of rape.
I think you wrote this really well. There were parts where I feel you could have expanded, but overall it was really effective and emotional. Though, in all honesty, I don't think Burt would react like that...but we'll never know unless this issue somehow comes up in the show, though I highly doubt that will happen.
And another thing---there's this stereotype that the only men who people can even start to believe COULD be raped are gay men. Which is also extremely untrue. Rape is not defined by gender or sexual orientation---it is defined by the willingness of the participants.
Oh, man. Emma is fucking AWESOME. I love that she's the one that stepped up and helped Kurt. I especially loved the scene where she laid into Will and Burt. This is the Emma I want on the show, a confident, strong woman who won't let anyone hurt her kids. A wonderful fill.
Wow thank you! Yeah I love the character and wish they'd explore her. She went through hell dealing with her mental struggles and is tougher than she gets credit for.

Burt was one of the parts of this fic I really didn't like, but I tried my best to keep with the prompt.
I'd be interested in seeing someone have Finn or Mike or Sam maybe a victim of female-on-male rape.
Thank you so fhr comment.
