hey! im really interested in DePaul for Costume Design. I visited over Spring Break and I loved it! Any insights? Im really nervous about the interview...since there are only 5 spots for costume. I will be a senior next year in cincy, oh

Hey, I'm going to be a freshman in Costume Design next fall so I really don't know anything but I just wanted to tell you not to stress about the interview. The woman (Nan Cibula-Jenkins) you interview with is really interesting and engaging (and one of the main reasons I pick DePaul over NYU). My interview felt like "talking shop" with my favorite teacher from high school. Be able to talk about your portfolio and don't be afraid to have opinions about theater, art and costuming. The majority of my portfolio was oil painting with watercolor designs for one show so don't stress if you don't have a lot of sewing experience.
