Back when I was an uppity, intelligent Northener, I was simply abashed that some people thought "y'all" was a word. Since then, however, I must admit adding it to my lexicon and even giving it acceptance. Why? Well because it's darn useful, that's why! Hello literary and drama types...
Yesterday marked the passing of an influencial female playwright, Wendy Wasserstein. Besides being a fellow YSD alumna, Wendy was recognized for her penning of The Heidi Chronicles and Uncommon women and Others. She won the Pulitzer in 1989. Only 55 years old, Wasserstein passed on after a battle with lymphoma ( Read more... )
