Yeah, MacArthur High school....Tim Waller? Denise told me to contact him....so I did.....
The project is a rip off of an experimental theatre thing I did in high school. We read a play, analyzed it, found the central theme, and wrote short pieces based around that theme. Then we put on the show. It was the most AMAZING project ever and I wanted to share it with other kids (and, more selfishly, wanted to do it again myself....). But yeah, the guy didn't seem terribly enthused by the email....I'm going to call him tomorrow I guess.... *freaking out because I have serious emotional investment in this project and don't know what to do if this doesn't work out*
oh, honey. bad move. tim waller is nuts. he's completely unreliable, a total flake, a total nutjob. most neurotic director i've even encountered - picture lori times ten and hormonal and on psychedelic drugs. seriously - you don't want anything to do with this guy. i did two shows with him and took a class.
get away from him if you can.
if not, tell him i said hi! (he's a sweetheart, very lovable - just absolutely insane and, from what i hear, losing what little humanity he has left).
Sweet. Great. Awesome. I wondered if this was the neutoric guy you were talking about that one day when Denise told me about him.
Well, nothing is in stone yet, but I really don't know what else to do if he doesn't want to do it. I mean....I could kind of go ala commedia and change my project to make it work in the college setting...but that's not the project. *growl*
