Hoping someone can help answer this question for me. I am looking to obtain my theatre teaching credential. I know that the states that offer this are limited, but that is the certification that I want. I believe Emerson College in Boston has a Theater Education program that's supposed to be very good.

Texas offers theatre-only certification. I teach at Stephen F. Austin State University, so I'm not impartial, but let's say I think we're one of several good programs on the theatre side. The education side is always (wherever you areand whenever you're there) at the whim of some state legislature, which is always peopled by those who know far more about education than teachers and administrators do (just ask them!).

Greensboro College in NC has a great program, and their education program is #1 in the state of NC.

yeah, being as I was not accepted to the TYA MFA I am a little apprehensive to apply to UNCG< but does Greensboro college have a different program?
