It appears that fandom is such a huge part of my life I no longer know whether the word 'fandom' is something people outside of fandom use to describe it or a word that fandom invinted to describe itself. This is strange.

I think it's the latter.

I think so too but then I get all confused and think 'but what do other people call it then' and then I remember that other people probably aren't even aware that such a thing as fandom exists.

Sometimes I have to remember to use words that everyone else understands too. XD
