Yeah, about that whole plot thing. The tough thing about historical fiction is that it really depends on the topic. The better character development you've got down, the easier it is to research when you find I main source, because that means you can research from different perspectives. You sound like you're putting a lot of effort into this. I'm impressed. A little off topic, but have you read Freedom & Necessity by Steven Brust and Emma Bull? It's a historical fantasy/fiction novel, and quite interesting. They wrote it by sending letters to one another, which is how the book is formatted.

And about Pearl Harbor, it's sad to think that one day they'll do something like that to 9/11.
