Ha, I agree. I know Kate Beckett is a strong character, but she just survived an explosion ... why would any man let her hobble out of a burning building?!

Oh my! What a lovely drabble!!!

You're right, of course -- there's NO reason Castle should have let her walk on her own, even if she could have done so reasonably comfortably. Even if feminist!Beckett fought him about it, he should have insisted. It's only proper...not to mention adorably chivalrous. And it would have made the shippers squee.

Last line = epic love, smothered in awesomesauce with a side of Cool Beans. =]
