It would be a nice change of pace for this show, wouldn't it? I'm always looking for something shocking or horrible around the corner! Dexter could certainly use a genuine nurturer in his life, now that Rita's gone.
I've noticed this woman's voice for the Republican ads on the radio - since it doesn't come with a mute button, unlike the TV.
Her tone of voice is always the same... "concerned and doomsday-ee" tone about how the planet will spin out of orbit and your family will be destroyed if the Demo-candidate wins. Then, "bright and hopeful" voice if you vote for the Repub-candidate who will single-handedly fight the entire Washington establishment to make sure that your family is made rich and will never have another single problem in their entire existence.
Finally insert "Optimistic Caution" voice - Which will you choose this election day? Doomsday or a Life of Plenty for your kids and your family (because apparently kids aren't family).
Ah! I bet I know the voice of which you speak. Her voice almost gets *horror stricken* when she talks about how the evil Democrats want to eat your babies.

For us, both the Dems and Repubs are comparing their opponent to Obama to create that negative association. Mostly, I just want to scratch my ears out whenever a political ad comes on at any point. You all suck.
Seriously, dude. Here the big target is Nancy Pelosi and "the Democratic congress." Our DEMOCRATIC congressman BRAGS in his commercial that he voted with "conservative" leadership 63% of the time. I'm like, "dude, do you think that's going to make right wingers vote for you? No! And do you think that makes ME want to vote for you, your supposed base? NO."
I just want to go vote and get the whole thing over with.

the first episode was BOSS. Amazing.
But...like...What? Is he STILL trying to find someone who "understands" him and he think this chick is gonna be like that cause she "knows" now? UGH. I'm not liking it. AT ALL. And if they have sex....I'm boycotting. And i dont want to hate Quinn. Because I LOVE HIM AND DEB. But...god SHUT UP ALREADY.
*hugs* Don't panic! It may all come together yet. However, things aren't going to turn out well for Quinn. We can't lose Dexter, so the redshirt in this situation is....
I'm a huge NONfan of Julia Stiles -- her one note acting style makes me itch -- so I don't know how hopeful I am about this whole storyline.
I can't imagine it's going to go well, but... I guess we'll see. *sigh*
something you liked that most people didn’t: Hm. I'm going to have to say Giles calling Buffy out for being a frigging idiot about Spike in season 7, as well as backing up Principal Hottie's plan to kill Spike. The preponderance of the evidence was NOT in Spike's favor at that point, especially with the trigger, and Buffy going "BUT HE HAS A SOOOUL NOW!" over and over again is not admissible in court. Sorry, but Season 7 was just one massive FailBoat, imo.

Season 7 is one offensive thing after another. Total suck-fest. And I agree that they made Buffy look like an idiot in service to Spike's story and this was the worst example of it. *spits* We shall speak of it no more.
