Yep, heartbreaking in that smiling kind of way. Absolutely adorable, and if I had to quote fav lines, I'd copy the whole thing. But the last sentence of the first parragraph - wow, totally made me sniffle and giggle at the same time.

Oh I have missed your writing. This is superb.

Your description of Angel and Buffy doing something so ordinary as driving to the store for food is amazing.

Driving in the California sunshine, top down on the Pontiac for the first time during the day, wind in their hair (and his friends always mocked his use of a good quality hair gel). Best of all -- oh, God, best of anything -- Buffy tucked up under his arm where it rested across the back of the bench seat, her golden head on his shoulder. Like they did this every day.

And that - that bit of humour about his hair gel - is priceless. I do love seeing inside Angel's thoughts.

Awww... Lovely glimpse at them - fluffy and heartbreaking at the same time.

I particularly love the line about Angel's heart that "might just sprout wings and fly" . Very Jossian balance of romantic and gross :)

And - I had to look up in the dictionaly what "eidetic" means. Your stories expand my English vocabulary :)
