After he and Wilson parted ways on the beach, Aziraphale headed back to the compound and climbed the rope ladder up to the roof. It was, of course, very tidy, impressively so if you took into account that it was, well, a roof. Wilson panted as he made his way up the ladder and clambered over the edge of the roof. The strap of his bag cut into his shoulder.

"This is a lot heavier when you're cilmbing a ladder," he said, but he wasn't complaining. He wanted to be around Aziraphale right now, nobody else.

He set the bag down so its precious contents wouldn't be disturbed and looked at his surroundings. "Very green up here," he commented. "It's always been one of my favorite colors."

He kind of missed his green tie.

Aziraphale straightened up, his fingertips trailing over one of the leaves as he did. "I used to have whole cities of people to look after and nourish," he said with a sheepish smile. "Now the best I can do is a few potted plants."

He gestured around the small surroundings. "I wish I had something more hospitable to offer, but do have a seat. The bed's quite comfortable."

He eyed the green sheets before sitting. They... really were not attractive. Still, it was surprisingly comfortable. Wilson laid back and stretched his arms over his head with a contented sound coming from his throat.

"Not bad," he said. He sat up again before long and gestured to his bag. "Bring that over here, would you?"

It was only at this point that Aziraphale realized that he had... well, just invited a man into his bed.

No, no, no, not into. Onto. That was a very important distinction!

He scooped up the bag and crossed over to the bed, handing it down to Wilson. He hesitated briefly, then sat down on the other end of it.
