Let's validate this post by writing a J/B MTV Awards Fanfic.

The premise: Jacob and Bella are in the audience because Jacob fixed up Less Grossman's car last week. I'll start:

(on the red carpet)

Bella: I can't believe you didn't wear a shirt.

Jacob: But, Bells, what if we run into vampires? I heard that pale Bob Pattinson guy is here, and Embry says he has a hunch about him.

Bella: *bites lip*

Jacob: I promise not to phase in front of--oh shit! It's Kristen Stewart!!! I promised Leah we would get a pic of one of her bitch faces. She wants to tape it on her mirror or some shit like that. Let's go!
