Today I am going to talk about ninjas. Personally, I find them very inspiring. I want to talk about ninjas because I think baseball players can learn a lot from ninjas

What do ninjas have to do with pitching? I understand studying the way the greats do it and actually knowing about the batters you're up against and (of course) aiming for a target (which really should be your catcher's glove; the catcher shouldn't have to use "ninja arts" to catch your pitches)...it is an art, but it's not a martial art. The aim isn't to inflict bodily harm on your opponent. I guess there could be some mind training, though. Ninjutsu and baseball are fundamentally different things, though, I think.
If you always aim for the catcher's glove then the other teams will figure this out and then use the catcher's glove position as a key to knowing what sort of pitch you are planning to throw. If the other team has players on base they can then signal to the batter. Although it's true that not a lot of teams are good enough to be able to do this, the best ones can. If you want to go to Koushien you need to be prepared for all the tricks.
And yes, pitching is like being a ninja, because both are very sneaky and to be good you need to trick the batters. I am aware that they are not literally the same thing but thinking this way helps me to be awesome. Since you are apparently not from around here, you probably don't know yet how awesome I am, but trust me, I am.
Goddamn it You have a point. I still don't think ninja tricks play a part in catching pitches, though. Skill, precision, and hard work, yes. Ninjutsu, no.
The more you talk, the more sense you are making (minus the ninjas). Also, the more you talk the more your ego is showing, just so you know.
[at keyboard, Haruna rubs at the back of his head and gets a little embarrassed, but since this person is a pitcher he wants to be nice]
Mostly I just do the ninja thing because it's fun. I love baseball and so I don't need to have the ninja thing in my head to make it fun, but this makes it even more fun, so I do it.
I wrote this whole post up because of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, are you my best friend or aren't you? Read the post and come up with some thoughts!!!!! I'm going to read stupid Bleach is this not enough for you?!!!!!!
Naruto (the character) pissed me off, so I stopped reading the manga. But ninjas are cool. If I were a ninja I could assassinate Nii-chan and get away with it.
You should ask him about it. Seriously it's kind of creepy but it is also kind of cool. It's the one thing he's really good at. I have no idea how he does it though.
Uhm. Jun-san. But that's mostly when Kazu-san is busy and Jun-san wants extra pitching practice. But now that Kazu-san is retiring I get to catch for Jun-san all the time! =D At least till he retires too... -sigh-
... I don't wanna catch for anyone else! Wish I could skip a grade. T^T
Haruna-san, I think that your fastball is definitely a strong weapon, but it's something you have to see. Ninja arts are usually supposed to go unnoticed, and I can't think that a fastball as amazing as your could ever go unrecognized.
That said, even though I worked so hard for such a long time, and even though Abe-kun says my pitching is a weapon, I am still a fastball ninjutsu apprentice! After I learned to throw with my whole body, and then later when I got to feel your muscles, I realized that I had been neglecting my pitching, even though I did it every day. I hope that I can improve my fastballs. I've been using what you showed me, so I hope that one day I will become a strong enough pitcher that you can acknowledge me as my fastball mentor.
If anyone can make something like that happen, it must be Haruna-san! Even though you're already so powerful and have so much speed, you're still working hard every day, too.
I'll work hard to meet my goals of increasing my power without losing my control, Haruna-shishou!
Can a bat be a ninja weapon too? OH! Or if the ball is the ninja weapon then for the batter it could be like a kunai or something! And you have to hit it before it hits you! Right, Haruna-san?
I like ninjas but my favorite is Bleach like Akimaru-san. Sometimes when I'm practicing I pretend I'm a shinigami like Ichigo and the bat is my zanpakutou! Wanna know my bankai? :D
And I don't know about Bleach yet since I haven't started reading it, but I will be reading it soon and will have a lot of opinions! I don't know what a bankai is but that sounds awesome so tell me what your bankai is.

This is my goal, and why I am a ninja.

Oh, you should read it! It's got lots of really thrilling fight scenes and you won't know who the bad guy is for a while! But he's really bad!
My bankai is "Scream, Eagle Eye"! :D Sometimes I whisper it to myself when I'm up to bat. It's like a good luck charm!
