She was not the only one lost, however. A large cat made his way down the street, head held high, long coat trailing behind him. It was a step up from a cloak, that was certain, and drew much less attention to him, for what little good that did. The white feline looked on the city with violet eyes, wearing a look in them not unlike mixed warmth and hurt. They shunned him... but they didn't enslave him. He was unsure how to feel.

But then he thought he saw someone, someone like from his own world--someone with light hair blue or green, although he could not discern its color with such a quick glance.

He dismissed it, however, as a trick of the light, and went back to consulting his map. He had to see this Palette Town, even if it was nothing like the one from which Ash Ketchum had come. Was it similar? Was there a connction? If only he had gotten off at the right stop, he might have known by now...

Rei was feeling dizzy and tired under the burning midday sun. If only she could make her way to the subway station there was a chance she'd be able to get back to Tokyo without much trouble. She began to walk between the crowd that tried it's best to avoid her, trying to find any sign that indicated how to get to the subway. However she was distracted in a second by a large figure wearing a cloak that passed by. As her eyes stared in amazement at the figure, she didn't notice she was still walking towards the highway.

It can't be... an angel?!

There was sudden sound, a car, heading right towards her. She closed her eyes and covered her face as the vehicle slammed against "thin air", just meters away from her. The impact was so strong, it propelled the car forward, over her head and on to the pavement.

But the sound of the crash alerted the figure.

Mewtwo turned to look and, seeing the car in the air, he cast his arms out. A faint blue glow surrounded him... and the car. Straining a bit, he gently turned the car back and set it on its wheels, and then dashed over to check on its occupants.

But in the corner of his eye, he noticed her. Her hair really was blue... And something about it all didn't match up to the physics he knew.

She hadn't done it on purpose. She hadn't expected it. Her Absolute Terror (AT) field had just manifestated itself to protect her, nothing more. And now someone was hurt because of her, prehaps... dead.

Trying to control her shaking body, she uncovered her face and turned. The figure that had distracted her was now standing just ahead of her. His attention seemed to be focused on the car and it's tripulation, but it was obvious he wasn't human, prehaps not an angel either but she wasn't going to stay and find out. Everywhere around her she could feel people staring, wondering what had happened, if it had been her.

Without thinking it twice, Rei turned on her heels and ran, trying to escape from what had just happened.
