The competition had been Chizuru's idea, but she'd been the last person expecting the two finalists to be guys. Still, it was fair. If the title of "Prettiest in Camp" had to go to someone, it wasn't as if it'd be inaccurate for it to go to one of them.
Besides, they'd both gotten really into the competition.
This was the final showdown. Chizuru had left in disgust some time before, leaving Oscar to provide commentary, which he did with relish.
"Contestants, reveal yourselves!"
Yunichika and Rey made their way onto the stage, stumbling a bit in the high heels they'd donned--although perhaps not as much as one might expect a man to.
In the end, the votes went to Yumichika. Although they both looked damn good in a French maid costume, and Rey was doing his best at faking the accent, the fact that Yumichika had his own built-in feather duster was just too perfect to lose.
They broke apart, the circle ceased to glow, and Kabuto did his best to conceal his surprise. He hadn't expected the Pactio spell to be performed exactly like--that.
Kabuto watched Evangeline as the card was produced--the one which would apparently grant him quite a bit of power--and she plucked it out of the air, studying it. Her face was curiously deadpan when she handed him the copy.
He looked at it; blinked, turned it over to look at the back, turned it over again, expecting the picture on it to have changed to--well.
Something a little more powerful-looking.
" . . . And you're saying that when I trigger the powers of the card, I'll be--?"
"Dressed like that? Presumably, yes. The artifact must be in one of the accessories. . . . How are you with a Swiffer, Kabuto?"
"Very funny. I can't imagine why I would possibly--this 'power,' why I would have to dress like--why are you smiling that way

Tomo couldn't explain her feelings. Never before in her life had she felt so into someone. Well, there was Lupin, but that was different! And Fujiko, but that was--that was really different, really!
None of it compared to the way she felt for Hatsuharu. Sure, she'd never given him a second thought until she'd happened to turn into a cow as he was walking by, but wasn't that what love meant? Wanting someone beyond all reason? Truly this would be the greatest, most romantic First Love of all time!
Unfortunately, Haru was having none of it. "I'm sorry, Tomo, but I really--ergh, really can't give you a hug. Can you please--five feet! Five feet, Tomo

Russel and Meer were pressed together in the dark of the cabin, after everyone else was asleep, trying to catch their breath.
"It's your turn," Meer said with a wink.
"You sure?" Russel breathed. "You really seemed to enjoy that last time . . . "
"We can switch off. Now it's your chance to have a good time."
"Well, if you insist!"
The moment was now. Russel darted out from the shadows where they'd been crouching, over to where Ash had somehow fallen asleep standing up.
He tipped Ash over.
It might not be the most romantic date ever, Russel thought, as he and Meer snickered and darted across camp to Ueki's cabin, but damn, do I love my girlfriend.
