I thought it was a very strong film!
At least some of the extremism was probably meant to be illustrated by Saw's interrogation technique. The fact that Bodhi survived that and apparently more or less as a sane man, suggests that Saw found Bodhi to be genuine--but of course then the Empire gets Saw anyway, by sheer brutality and violence rather than trickery.

Bodhi must have quite a strong personal tie to Galen--to be thinking of him in his last moments, as he does.

So sad about Carrie Fisher--to think that is the last view we have of Leia now, probably--unless they have footage they can use.

Saw's interrogation of Bodhi had completely slipped my mind! And I agree that it makes him seem a lot more extremist--and maybe he's also more extremist in his ideas? (I need to rewatch the film!)

Bodhi/Galen is an angstfield and a thing of beauty.

I think that Episode VIII is in post-production, so she'll appear in that, at least? I don't know what will happen to Episode IX, but right now, I hope they won't use CGI. (And I thought she'd survive, too! Rationally, I knew that after 15 minutes with CPR it would be difficult to come back, but still...she was a childhood idol, and I'm really upset.)
