LJ Idol Topic #27: Noumenon

There was a motel with twenty-six rooms, behind twenty-six doors all in a row. The manager’s name was Mr. Locke; he sat at the desk around the clock. In night, in day, in rain or sun, as if he never required sleep. He greeted guests with a smile and a key, until one fateful night, when the sign read:

Sleepy Time Motel

Air Conditioning

Pool -- Able ( Read more... )

Psst! Psst! You should screen comments on this so that when somebody gets the answers, they don't spoil it for everyone else. :D

FUN!

I hesitate to answer this comment in any additional detail, but screening would defeat the purpose!

I might PM you my answers, though I don't have answers for all questions and am very probably wrong anyway. I liked the word play in this, though.

Oh my God, I love this entry just a little bit too much.

Okay, my guesses

- The noise was either Cassie's colicky cat (now cured)or Esmerelda's elongated elocution emissions.

- Percival Polsky stole the jewellery to ponder problematic physical prisms once he'd tired of his perpetual pendulum. (ppppp)

- Vlad is a very versatile vampire, but a vegetable vampire nonetheless.

- Mr Locke's picture was missing, of course.

No, it is quite a good guess. But is it the correct guess?!?!?!

Only interrobangs will tell!

- The noise keeping Alfonse awake was the brutal murder of the occupant of Room Nineteen, who was killed by a crazed mathematician from the motel across the street.

- Regarding Jennifer's jewelry, the Passamaquoddy Police were summoned. Molly and Ned were taken in for questioning. Molly said that Ned took the jewelry. Ned said that Molly always told the truth. Given that one twin always tells the truth, and one twin always lies, discovering the real thief was a simple matter of deduction.

- Vlad was an unfortunate vegan with a bad set of mail-order dentures.

- The missing Xerox was of Mr. Locke, as he had not been in his room all evening.

- Zara suspected the woman living in Mr. Yanovich's wallpaper was the real troublemaker.

Ladies in wallpaper are very clever that way.

These are very fine guesses and should be framed!

The lady in the wallpaper's the one being framed here, if you ask me.
