see, there ya go... that's a great name! and it does sound perfect for the kittypuss. her temperment sounds a lot like my mother's cat missy, who i frequently call "bitchy" (in the most affectionate way of course). there are some female cats who just don't take any bs from anyone. did she happen to have kittens before she wound up at the shelter?
wow! your pair sound EXACTLY like our pair. i had a boy cat for a few years, and last year we adopted a girl cat who was also a good amount smaller than my boy Binx. but right away she was not shy at all. he ran from the room when she entered, she'd go after him. he finally would tip toe up to her and if she just looked at him he ran. and she found the best spots beside us on the couch and made it clear the bed was hers, while he stared from a distance. she is still the boss i think, but they have become so playful! they chase each other around. if she's sleeping he will creep up and swat at her until she gets up to chase him (i know he likes it). sometimes when she is being quiet he will get up and just sniff her, and she will lick his face. he'll let her for about 10 seconds, and then he'll pounce. that is really cool about her night time ritual. you found a good one!
Clyde and Roxanne have gotten to the chasing each other around the apartment stage of their relationship. I'm very happy about it. Better still was when Roxanne voluntarily jumped up on the couch next to me and fell asleep.
