LOL oh god yes. My dad was the director of an academic research centre for seven years. Me and cocktail parties with my parents, we go waaaay back!

Hurray, a new chapter! (And, yeah, my parents threw a lot of cocktail parties when I was a kid; DC in the 60s, and lawyers, and, oh my ... Strange how some of my earliest memories include booze. Hmm.)

Ack, poor Donna! I love the way you described her thought processes in that section - very calm and logical, but with panic starting to bleed in around the edges.
