Maybe a nice chocolate one. However, what I meant was what would you do on YOUR perfect birthday?

I don't know, I don't really celebrate it that much.

You've never had a birthday cake or a present?

What is the significance of becoming a year older? Is the idea of aging within such a short period of time worthy of recognition?

Yes it can be, mostly an excuse to get presents and eat but still I suppose in a lifetime of eighty years. Once a year isn't too short a period of time.

Small get-together with a couple of friends, couple of drinks, maybe go out for a bit...nothing too big or fancy. That's how I always wanted to spend my birthdays. Got harder to do the last little while, though.
