I really loved the way House explained his reasoning in the end. That's a big step forward in their relationship. House admitting Chase is right, and telling him he trusts him.And Chase's immediate response to that melted my heart.
Is there going to be more to the story? I'd really like to see them talk more about this and get into the ways their relationship has changed (and of course, being slashy I think of it leading to sex. I'm such a pervert :))

as far as house and chase--i miss the rapport between these two so much i don't care if their relationship is respectful, friendly, slashy, whatever--i love reading them no matter what they're doing (unless they're killing each other or something) because they're two great characters. i miss chase so much!!! (goes to cry, digs in phone book for a therapist)
this was a cute little tidbit--may all your inspirations have house and chase together in some way shape or form.

As for validation I think in House's own weird way actually firing Chase and not just having him quit was his way of saying Chase wasn't beneath him anymore and that he was ready to be on his own - not that this means we shouldnt have a scene where he actually says that. I think maybe a scene where they actually discuss the firing would be good.
