The LJ FAQ says there's no way to use one command to make all entries private, but if it bothers you, I'll go f'lock mine.

As for comments of non-members, you could freeze the threads or screen them, or the poster of that entry could? Deleting it might make the pages look odd if the poster or others have replied...

Would it be all right to save the old posts (obviously if the posters gave permission, too) so I could stick them up at deathtocapslock? I know there's a bunch of people there who got into recaps after membership closed here, who'd love to see, say, the GoF recaps, and some entries got so many comments and threads going, it'd be a shame not to transfer those, too.

Please don't do that.

I clearly should have made this more plain, but The Snarkery was always intended to be a private party. It should have been friends-locked from the first, but I honestly had no idea that anyone not on my friends list would find out about it or I would have. If people want to repost their old posts on your comm I obviously can't say anything about that, but please don't take posts comment-threads and all from this community and put them on yours. Like I said, private party.

That's cool, I thought I'd check in case you'd be comfortable with it just being out of sight, out of mind.

Maybe I was one of those spam posters (?). Sorry if that caused any inconvenience, but I honestly didn't think I was doing anything bad as I just commented the way people do now on your posts about HBP. But as this is your place, so to speak, I won't do it again if it's bothering you.
