Today is Wednesday, August 2, 2023. This means it has been twenty years to the day since I created this Live Journal. LiveJournal sent me an e-mail this morning attesting to that, and included this cute virtual gift:

Cheers on 20 years. It is both hard to acknowledge yet completely believable that it's been so long. Had a hard time getting on to post given that the account was linked to my twenty-year-old U account and I don't know that they do much forwarding anymore (seems like most of the U's are cutting former students off any more

I am impressed that you were able to wrangle your old e-mail account to heel in 2023!, and delighted to hear from you. It's the truth! They don't give us the old lavish treatment anymore. Not being a graduate, they took my student e-mail account away many moons ago. I lost some good e-mails there, though not too many since they did at least give me a heads-up, unlike Microsoft's Hotmail, which just decided to push the delete button one day
