*Sniff* I love happy endings! Had a feeling it would be Jack coming through the rift, and where better for the reunion than a windswept Welsh clifftop!
So glad Ruth has joined as the new doctor, she'll be a great addition to the team. I love Andy anyway and always thought Torchwood should have recruited him. I'm not a TV Gwen fan, but I like the way you've written her, you've made her a likeable person.
Also glad Ianto's flat wasn't sold - he and Jack need somewhere to live. I wonder if the newly rebuilt Hub includes Jack's living quarters - part of me hopes not, as I'd prefer him to just move in with Ianto and accept they're a couple! Thanks for writing this series, I've loved it from start to finish and I'll look forward to your next story!

Thank you :) Most of my fics have happy endings, or at least hopeful ones.

This is the first time that I've written a fic in which Gwen has a large part. Although she's not my most favourite chatacter there are some episodes (especially in the radio plays) where I can understand why she's doing what she's doing, so when I write her I write from those.

Where Jack will be living will be covered in the epilogue, which I hope to get written in the next week or so.

I might write another story following on from this, in addition to the epilogue. I've got a couple of ideas for where it would go, which that for the moment would involve, along the with existng Torchwood team, Captain John Hart and just what happened to the Time Agency to get it disbanded.
But that wouldn't be until the new year, as I'll be writing/posting the fic set mid series 2 first.

What a lovely fix it fic! Great explanation for survival and I loved the build up to Ianto's escape then Jack's return. Looking forward to your next fic!

Lovely! What an interesting way for Ianto to survive - I can see it now, Retcon for everyone, kind of like a vaccine program...

Thank you :) glad you liked it. It'll be a while before they can sort out a vaccination program though, as Retcon is probably in rather short supply at the moment, being as all what was stored at the Hub was probably destroyed in the explosion.
