I've just read all six parts in a row, i've no idea how i missed this before! This is so gripping i was clicking on 'part 7' even though i knew it wasn't a link!!!!

I can't wait for more.

Thank you :) You might have missed it because there was a big gap between me posting parts 4 and 5 (which was when I having baby)
I'm planning on updating each weekend now until it's finished.

Ooh! Ianto's free! But Jack's still missing :-( And it occurs to me that Ruth would make a good Torchwood employee, assuming she survives everything.

Thank you :) Jack's contactable as long as he has his vortex manipulator, providing of course he's answering any call/messages he gets.
Ruth would make a valuable team member especially since they are running without a medic at the moment - whether she'll join them or not though only time will tell.

I think I commented a few chapters ago... But did I mention that I kind of love you? :-) I do like how you portrayed Jack's grief. Very realistic and sensible, he sacrificed his grandson and his lover got (or so he knows) killed. :-) But I love Ruth - especially how she knows that what's she's in is bad and is willing to help Ianto because of it. XD I can't believe Ianto's free!! I can't wait to read the next part! XD

(... btw, did you just recently have a baby? I know its kind of odd to ask, but if you did, congrats! :-D)

Erm... I meant that how you portrayed his grief was realistic.. the sensible part was that it would make sense how he was greiving.. oh dear, I have a bit of foot-in-mouth disease. (hits head)

Thank you for commenting again :) I'm glad that Jack's grief seems realistically portrayed, I didn't want to go over the top with it, but Jack lost so much in CoE, as his grandson, Ianto, and because he lived at the Hub he lost his home and presumably all his possesions as well, like the box of photos that's seen in Something Borrowed.

I'm pleased that Ruth is ok as an oc, as I know a lot of people tend not to like ocs. Ruth's trying to do what is right now that she's realised just how her employers act.

Yes I did have a baby, five weeks ago today - that's the reason for the big delay between chapters 4 and 5.
Next part should be posted at the weekend.
