Also I love him saying that even the "big boys" like Ian McKellen have to work around Martin's schedule, so he can do The Hobbit and Sherlock.
I remember an interview with Moffat where he implies that Sherlock was so successful they had major pull against The Hobbit, so they could include in Martin's contract to The Hobbit, that he would have leaves to allow for Sherlock. That, right there, is mighty impressive if you compare a TV show with the biggest movie coming our way since LOTR (and yes, I consider them bigger than the Potter movies).
