The Sign of Three waiting party!

Jan 05, 2014 14:01

Same reason like the last time, same rules :)

For those who are not going to watch a stream but rather wait for download.

NO SPOILERS from the episode here. There's the discussion post for that.

When it airs (and before) we just chat and wait. Everyone is welcome to join.

New Sherlock is on today!

I have to enjoy saying this when it's still true, because soon it won't be anymore for a long time... :(

7 HOURS!

Oh god, don't remind me! Why did I have to fall in love with a show that consists mostly of waiting!?

LOL, the Fandom that waited to quote another Fandom...

We are all in it together. That makes it a bit more bearable, right?

But I know, I feel your pain. Waiting is not cool :(

I think by now I have watched TEH about 5 times. For me it's so gorgeous, it makes me weep. I watched it again last night to take screencaps for possible icon-making later, and got lost again in the episode, almost forgetting to take any screencaps and having to start all over again. The hardship. lol

Can't wait for tonight. Should be epic from the sound of it. ;-)

Very happy to hear that the episode worked so well for you! :)

While I still have (and will have) issues with it, I appreciate it more after rewatching multiple times.

Mixed feelings about tonight, tbh.

Just a few more hours ;)

I completely understand why people seem to have some issues with TEH. I guess it all comes down to your own expectations, priorities, and personal preferences. And there is no requirement to love it unconditionally, just as loving it shouldn't be a reason for dismissal either.
All the issues that I had with it, which were very few to begin with, have either resolved by now or are covered by a huge layer of love. lol
I like all the episodes more or less, but I've never had the excitement of wanting to watch it again while still being in the middle of it, that I have with TEH.

If you don't mind me asking: why the mixed feelings about tonight?

Yeah well, I had some lenghty discussions with some great people and also people I didn't even know before and I can now accept TEH a bit better. I'm not sure what my expectations of the episode were, exactly. I just know that, originally, I ONLY wanted both the punch and also hug from John. Which didn't happen, but that's not the reason for my issues. But those were for another discussion that I already had in multiple places, so I'm not going to repeat it here ( ... )

And here I am as well. Looking forward to this. Good day for it, cold, rain, ice today. I have my tea for the afternoon.

We have just the rain here. But it's very warm for this time of the year. Like 12 °C when it easily could be -12 °C and less..

I try to use the calm before the storm to study a bit for my exam which is on Wednesday...Bleh. But I'm not very sucessful right now. Just looking at the pages, but thinking about something else. I wonder when I will learn all of it. Definitelly not tomorrow...Oh well.

I need to make a lot of tea soon!

Supposedly, it is going to go from Arctic cold to warm here. I just don't want to know any more, LOL.

I have some shows to get caught up in my DVR, so will do that will I putter and wait.

*hugs back*

I'm done with the first reading of notes from lectures (I've skipped the examples and excercises, lol) I don't know how I will manage on Tuesday (and the part of Monday if/when I'm capable), but right now, there are more important things on!! LOL.

I'm going to make tea now.

How is your progress with catching up? :)

Partay! But I'm terrified, because the last episode didn't really explain how Sherlock did it and I can't deal with it. What if there'll be more disappointment?!

Yes! Let's party while we still can! Before the feels will make us drown in tears :p

Sorry to hear that you are terrified *more hugs* Fortunately, the "how" wasn't on the top of my list for the episode (if it even was on the list) so the fact they copped out is not bothering me that much. Tbh, I was expecting something like that to happen...

If it's any consolation for you, I think that the last solution he told to Anderson was "real". They just needed to leave themselves a smart way out if someone found a hole in it (which was to be expected, because that's what we do) so they played it ambiguous.

As far as disappointment goes...if you scroll up a bit, you will find my rather long comment with a specific worries for tonight's ep, as kari77 made me do it ;-)

You are not alone. We can only hope for less disappointment and more happiness tonight. Maybe.

Well, if I'm honest, the first item on my list was getting new Jim scenes and we got that. But second came the resolution and I really don't understand how they could keep it from us.
I also thought that Anderson's last theory made the most sense, but that was only at first glance. There are a few things that are weird about it. It gives me hope that there's something clever planned for the season finale.
