A friend and I are working on a community - killer_culture - where people can discuss True Crime vs. Fictional "Crime TV" and all sorts of other topics...I just created it so there's nothing to it yet but we hope to expand it quickly and soon. If interested please join and/or spread the word.
HOLYCRAP! I have never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever seen serial killer icons before. Maybe it's 'cause I dunno where to look, but wow. No.50 and No.6 are both brilliant. So's No.52, but it kinda makes me sad =[
Don't think I'll be stealing any 'cause... you know... they killed people. But wow, still, thanks for making them!
Haha, trusttt me, they are not backhanded whatsoever. I feel nothing but love for you posting them! =D
I just, you know... have a tendency to offend people with all things serial killer. Been trying to tone it down, but I'm failing tbh.
And you're right. Actually... okay, my friend made me it, but still, I have a t-shirt that says 'I <3 Ted Bundy'. Which is awfully offensive, only thing is, no one seems to know who the hell he is!
Yay, I have Bundy attire too..and I always wear it to see my psychiatrists just to "freak them out" because I'm a "little bit like him" (except I'm a woman)
I don't see why a fascination with serial killers would offend people...but then I also don't see why 99% of the stuff that offends people does.
ooooh hm...maybe some Ed Kemper or BTK? Gacy? Ed Gein? None of them are as pretty as Ted but I suppose not all serial murderers can be genetically blessed!
I'll do Gacy if you do the picture hunting for me ...otherwise, not going to happen. Too many clown pictures in the search results and clowns = my phobia.
As for Kemper, BTK and Gein, I'll have to see what I can gather..I've been collecting Bundy and Ramirez for years so I have a ton of them. I may have to invest some time into other killers!
please do more later!!! ted bundy has always fascinated me....i was 10 when i watched his trial on tv....and i could never (still can't) figure out why such a nice looking guy who was politically active, rape crisis volunteer, had a nice looking girlfriend, would go and murder women!!!
Oh I have tons more Ted photos..but I didn't know how well they'd be received so I didn't do many this time around. I'll definitely add them to my to-do list.
Unfortunately I wasn't old enough to register what was going on with him or who he was during his final years...but it didn't take me long to start looking into him (I now own every book ever written on him, every movie made, documentary, etc. and TONS of photos and murderabilia)
Have you seen the movie wherein Corin Nemec portrays him? If not, DON'T!!! Dear god!! 1.5 hours felt like 10 hours...the "facts" were all off...everything about it was..terrible...the acting..the scenes...ugh ugh...
I much prefer "The Riverman" or "Ted Bundy" (the 2001/2002 movie, I think)..haven't watched "The Deliberate Stranger yet since I was only able to get it on VHS)
