Brood

I've mentioned a few times, to a few different groups, that I'd been considering running a Belial's Brood game and just about every time I have, everyone in the vicinity has actually gotten excited. So here it is; if I can get a dozen or so players I'll do it ( Read more... )

They are a bit really. They certainly seem designed to fill that role in the Requiem setting, and have that same 'we're quite possibly right, so you are unjust to just kill us' thing going for them.
What i really like, more than anything about them though, is the massive, gaping flaw in their philosophy and their hilarious denial of it. The Pursuit is all bout 'expanding and growing' into a better monster, ie. losing Humanity. Except they don't have Paths like the sabbat did. Eventually they all either get killed for being too much of a liability or they Wassail. And the Brood just flat out deny it.
The philosophy says you reach the end of your Pursuit and then you 'go away' ofascend in some way. What's left is not the kindred that has achieved perfection, just a husk that can be disposed of guilt-free.

Well, logistics are something we can work out to accomodate players.

I was intending to go for a pseudo-live game (not using the terrible MET system, but certainly playing live during meetings, while probably resorting to 'tabletop' for runs on Covenants kindreds' havens, street battles with Draugr, spying on the mayor, etc.)

As for timing I was thinking that it would *have* to be on a weekend if anyone outside Brum was interested, though a Sunday could be quite doable I think. It largely depends on you guys!

The Sunday after Brum games would be doable for me, I couldn't do two Brum weekends, obviously, and combining it so it's three games in a weekend is a lot more spoon efficient :-)

Oh, can I show this to people not on your flist? It's locked so I would have to copy and paste it

Yeah, of course. I'd make it open if I could figure out how to do that with just one post. ;P

Easy - go to "edit post" and then at the bottom under options change it to "Public"

Hmm... I don't know if I'd be able to play a Brood member...

I would be very interested, logistics would be a problem though.
