A good scare is as much fun as a roller coaster. It's the same rush you got as a kid when Dad would toss you into the air. It's a thrill, a rush of adrenaline.

Scary movies are very personal. I'm not even sure what it is about some movies that terrifies me, but I have friends that think my scariest movies are funny, and I don't know why they like the ones they do.

I hate slasher movies, like Halloween and Friday the 13th. But I love something more paranormal and spooky. The one movie that continues to scare me to this day is John Carpenter's "Prince of Darkness". I'm pretty sure it's the dream sequences that freak me the hell out. The movie is so dated it should be cheesy at this point, but it still gives me the chills.

I think people like to watch them because it's a "safe" way of being scared.

I once did an entire speech in my public speaking class about why we like horror. I wish I still had it!

Hahahaha! I don't typically like slasher films, but I DO remember watching Friday the 13th on HBO while my mom was busy on the phone & didn't realize I was watching it. I was WAAAAAAAAAAY too young to be watching & BOY did it do a number on me!!! YIPES!

I've seen Rob Zombie's other movies...holy cow...now that's some screwed up stuff. I don't like torture movies. I like creepy movies more than slasher...
