Who: Gavin, Giles, and Spike
Where: An alley, 2 blocks off Main Street
When: September 13th, around midnight

One down, one to go, Gavin thought cheerfully, inordinately pleased with himself as he silently stalked the watcher. Xander had practically fallen into his lap with almost no exertion on his part other than a lie and a quick attack. This one looked even less troublesome than the young man had; Gavin knew that incapacitating him and presenting him to the witch would be the easiest thing in the world. He had been following Giles for an hour now, hoping that the man would inadvertently lead him to the secret location of the Slayer and her friends. No such luck, it seemed. Growing impatient with exerting such effort on a mere human, Gavin decided he could attack Giles now and still have most of the night left at the Chimera. Willow would certainly be pleased when he presented this prize, tied up and presented to her like a birthday present.

He already had the thick rope ready in his right hand, prepared to bind the man securely. One never knew with watchers, he'd heard. Most were helpless at defending themselves without their slayers at hand, but it wouldn't do to take risks. In this town, you could never be too careful. Perhaps he'd just take a taste too, just a little sip of the watcher's blood, but that was all. He was sure Willow wanted this one alive.

A flurry of movement and Gavin was suddenly standing directly in front of Giles, his head cocked to the side in amusement as he regarded the startled man. "The Slayer's left you to run around all by your lonesome?" Gavin asked with a dismissive laugh, apparently unwilling to get to business at hand without a little taunting beforehand. "Seems rather careless of the girl."
