Rendezvous Point

Who: Oliver
When: September 15th
Where: Classified
Invited: Giles

“Every corner in Sunnydale appeared to be an exact replica of the next. Evidently, the touch of Willow's sultry sorcery has tainted the city and one can feel its effect ubiquitously.” Oliver thought to himself.

Nevertheless, the city of Sunnydale is inconsequential. The only thing that mattered to Oliver was to perform the job the Council has given him and finally relinquish their control over him. He never did enjoy authoritative requests, especially those that have been coerced. As part of the Council’s special group of operatives, he dealt with the unsavory aspects of the Council’s work; interrogations, smuggling, and, if need be, assassinations would be in the clear. Usually, the latter was not necessary when others thought of their own well being before hand. Of course, these tactics were to never be questioned.

Oliver waited patiently in an obscure corner. He lit a cigarette as he leaned up against the wall to pass the time before the arrival of his source. It was agreed that he would meet with his Sunnydale informant here, one of the Council’s own. Although Oliver had been briefed on the Sunnydale scene, he felt that an insider’s perspective would prove insightful. Clearly his source, having had first hand experience and contact with all the main parties, should know their authentic profile. Not that the Council's manufactured profiles were insignificant. Rather, they had the tendency of leaving significant tidbits out. Oliver was going to handle matters with his own approach, regardless of the Council’s hold.
