I have just tried on my altered bridesmaid's dress.  On the positive side, it's a gorgeous dress and I look fairly tiny in it.  I'm just not sure I'm going to be able to breathe.  Or eat...

And eating may be feasible, so long as it's minimal. Trying on the dress immediately after dinner probably not the greatest plan...
