True but at least Shep got to rampage once when he merely thought she was dead. By S4 they had him so brain dead all the Jack Bauer was written right out of him. And IMHO, JF had given up trying.

Yeah, 'cause goodness knows it was easy enough for Joe to just go on autopilot with the woobie!face. How ironic that it gave us such lovely ammunition. :P

My theory was that they could make him act a certain way and say certain lines but they couldn't change the faces. LOL

And I think the reason John didn't get more exercised over almost losing the other members of his team at various times was that losing Elizabeth had just taken all the emotion right out of him. Lots of people commented on his strangely lackluster response to old Rodney in TLM.

I second your rant. My husband and I said exactly the same thing last week. Who gives a flying fig about any of these people anymore? Except Chloe.
