Sewing

Haven't sewn a garment from fabric and a pattern before, but there's a point when flat-felled seams have to go somewhere other than fragment's you're practicing on.  You can only repair so many things until all of everybody's clothes are mended and you have to start out into clearing off the whole damned kitchen table.

sarificial slats
initially read that as "sacrificial stats", which it clearly isn't. care to provide a gloss?

you might want to compare notes with xugou about raised beds.

Like these things here, the vertical slats support the workpiece while you're cutting (in the picture it's a computer-controlled plasma torch but I have plain old propylene-and-oxygen hand torch) and then can be slid out and replaced one at a time, after a while, once the flame has done them too much damage to support things anymore.

What happened with his raised beds?
