And so I said, "Do you think I'd be working in a place like this if I could afford a real snake?"

This was not called murder, it was called retirement.  Why do people who make a point of using the word "semiotic" in their presentations always act as if no one but them could possibly be just

Face to face class tonight

This evening there's a face-to-face session. For a variety of reasons, I'm quite nervous about it. Work and school are too closely connected right now, and the people who control school have, to some extent, influence my worklife too. Right hands and left hands damn well know what the other is doing.

My day today is scheduled for deep breaths, and remembering to kill the monster and take its stuff.
