Random thoughts

Am I the only person who, if considering buying a house, would pay LESS if it had been lived in by a celebrity? Even a D-grade one?

"No, seriously, I'll go another twenty K if you can find me a place with no interesting history whatsoever. But I better not find out in five years that it used to belong to Oprah's hairdresser or something."

Personally I prefer mine not lived in by ANYONE before me, but since that is not always possible, I prefer as few previous owners/tenants as possible, and especially unknowns or no-one that would have drawn attention to the premises. That way there is less of a possibility of random people knocking on the door (especially police, debt collectors, PI's or paparazzi, or even die-hard fans) at any time, but especially during the night.

And no, you are not alone in this :)

Given the kind of furniture- and wall-destroying tantrums that I read about "stars" throwing in hotels, I wouldn't bet that their houses are structurally sound. And that's only one consideration.
