Slight design issue

I fiddled about a bit more with the toy design, and got the basic "big cat" head and robot face blocked out. They're a bit more problematic for me because they're not engineering problems, they're artistic/design issues. They could pretty much look like anything as long as they fit into the constraining box size, but they have to evoke the head of

Would it not be possible to simply hinge the kitty face and then grasp and flip the kitty jaw up, locking it into position, and have the underside of the jaw be the top of the robot's head? Or is this totally the opposite of what you were going for?

The robot face on the underside of the neck? Workable, but being me I was also trying to come up with something where the face wouldn't be visible from any angle when the toy was busy being a cat. (Yes, I know, I'm a fusspot
