Heh, thanks. Most of the scene is actually manually drawn/traced using a CAD file for reference. I pasted some of the line details - the wheels, front grille and headlights, Autobot symbols, and rear guns - from the file, but all the semi-wireframe cleanup, colouring (apart from the graduations on the wheels), and so forth are manual.
It will, but I'm still fiddling around with them. The roof on the truck, for example, uses both in-program orange and sigil-background orange, which are apparently just different enough to clash. So I redo the whole thing manually in Paint.
It also doesn't do anything more fancy than textures and some basic shading, so there's no effect for ambient light, ray-tracing, shadow correction etc.
Seeing as how most of the truck is drawn/traced freehand, I have to put the colours in manually anyway. It's not such a big deal when there's only a handful of them - I can flood-fill most of the areas.
Additionally, I wasn't really setting out to make Art; I was just screwing around with the programs to see if I could make something in half an hour which didn't completely suck. I don't have nearly as much experience with the tools as I should, so it's half-guessing and there's probably a lot of places I used very inefficient techniques.
