DNS tweaking

Feb 23, 2009 15:50

Just finished toggling some DNS settings on the new domain and seeing the effects on the email headers generated when running MX through Google Apps accessed via POP3. It's looking like I can have my cake and eat it too, with correct email headers AND a CNAME/A substitution for the naked domain pointing to the low-traffic site.

Fingers crossed.

Aaand... it looks like it's working!

OK, so close examination of the mail headers will show that things are being run through Google, but the non-hidden items which show up in most mail clients all look like the real deal.

Ah has mah new email reply-to address.
