Interesting. I just took it, and thought it was a little off on some factors (I think I am warmer and livelier than they do) but on the whole I've seen far worse. It did bug me that their choices for gender were completely binary. Also made me wonder of it influences the results, but could not be bothered to jot down my answers and do it again with the other gender to check.
Some of the categories didn't mean what I thought they would, or their poles weren't what I would think of as opposite. "Abstractness" was an interesting trait to measure. Purple the cracked trilobite.
I've always wondered about the gender thing too. I think it it would make the test less valid to skew the answers according to gender, but if they're not going to do that, then why ask for gender in the first place?
The gender binary is annoying, but I don't expect any better from most people. It's rare to see any kind of form that had will allow you to answer anything other than male or female.
