I just went to a plenary talk about Dasher, which is very cool. It's an alternate character entry interface that uses either the mouse pointer (using a variety of different mice), 3 button, 1 button, breath input. It's based on arithmetic coding [wikipedia] for its entry system via navigation.

The Tea Stick. Basically it's a (hideously overpriced) single cup tea infuser. It does look nice, although I'll be sticking with my travel cup/plunger.

A clock that only updates its display when the time (hhmmss considered as a decimal value) is prime.

It's very cool.

My MrGadget order is listed on the Australian Air Express website as having been delivered this morning at 09:31 (41 hours after being ordered, pretty damn impressive). It was apparently signed for by "John". There are 3 Johns in my building, 2 disavow all knowledge, the 3rd is missing in action.
Damnit, I want my toys!

I had forgotten how much I loved that game. Just spent lunch (2 hours) watching Colm play in UCC, as well as doing a little playing myself. I think I may well have to get this up and running on my DVR machine at home. Not that I have time to play it, but since when has that stopped me?
