I've started looking at (and test riding) bikes, in anticipation for eventually replacing my mountain bike. I'm still deciding between a drop bar road, flat bar road or a touring bike. ( So far )
I rode a 2007 Giant OCR1 around midyear and it felt a bit weird for me compared to other 2 drop bars I rode on the same day though I can't remember what they were as they cost about $4000 each and I've blocked them out ;)
It seemed to be a quirk of the frame geometry but I never looked into it too hard.
(Aside: the 2008 OCR1 is actually more like the 2007 OCR2. They've downgraded everything one step. The geometry is the same on all of them anyway.) There was certainly more than one reason I was annoyed to have to delay my Canberra trip. I was also somewhat annoyed to discover bike force didn't have any trikes in stock - they reckon about 2 weeks. It's tempting to put the whole thing off until I go east - it would also be much easier to try touring bikes there than here.
