Four potatoes, three carrots, one onion, a bowl of lentils and rice and it only serves four?

Anyway, sounds similar-ish to parippu, my favourite lentil curry, my recipe is somewhat similar to this one.

It all comes down to defining how big a potato, carrot or bowl is really. If the answer is "medium, medium and slightly small", then yes.

Thanks for the parippu recipe, I'll have to give that a try (assuming I can find coconut milk here, which should be easy).

It's nice. Warning: the curry leaves are vaguely important to the final flavour (in my opinion).

Thanks for the warning. If you hadn't given it I would have been tempted to omit them (given I don't currently have any).

It could be in the stock cube if you wanted.

...that I should get some beef stockcubes. Despite it guareenteedly not having any animal content in it.

I am also confused. Do you mean both "despite" and "not" in that sentence?

Thank you! I've always had problems with curry not turning out the way I want it to.

Don't thank me, thank the moon's gravitational pull good people at the student guild.
This isn't the most interesting curry, but it is really easy to cook. ataxi's curry recipe above looks interesting, I'll probably try that next.

Recipies plural? I only know one, and that's just for the currie paste, rather than the entire curry. I haven't tried that yet because:

1) I have no corriander seeds
2) I have no mortar and pestle
3) I'd have to work out what to do with the paste at the end.

When I get back to au I'll aim to correct all three of these deficiencies.
