No, they put the price up (I think only $5 though). They put the price up much more last year. There's been talk on the BNA forums about the perceived exorbitant cost of this event - we got a response from TRIWA (who run the event). Basically, your entry price covers running costs and nothing else - it costs them over $300k to run the event (somehow, don't ask me how, cos I don't know :P).
As a bike advocacy event, it probably makes sense, as a charity event, you'd be better off throwing a fiver at the nearest homeless man :P
