After giving Draco his final admonishment to behave himself, Severus headed off toward a shadowy patch of wall nearest the bar. Hermione entered the reunion with her chin up, determined not to be intimidated by her own feelings of foolishness about the previous evening's debacle. Despite his excessive politeness and use of her professional title, the Professor's words and demeanor somehow thrust Hermione back to her school years, and it was though she'd been reduced to nothing more than the indolent know-it-all full of futile protest that he'd always managed to make her feel like as a student. She wished he'd once more take up his casual position against the wall so he wasn't towering over her, forcing her to crane her neck to see him, which only enhanced the sense that she had taken a time-trip back to when he'd been her teacher. Of course, that was probably what he was going for. Severus Snape was nothing if not an expert manipulator ( ... )

George followed the "nervous couple" into the reception hall and looked around. He spotted Alicia over a the bar, talking to Luna and almost started in that direction, but then remembered that they were supposed to be "fighting", at the moment. So, instead, he scowled in her direction and turned his attention back to Fred and Theo.

"Let's go find a table," he said stiffly, "or something."

George leaned in closer to his brother for a moment. "I'm not supposed to be talking to them, right now, remember?" he reminded Fred in a quiet voice. "The next four hours are going to be murder..."
