If any of you have seen Beowulf, could I take a five-year-old and an eight-year-old to see it? I mean, is there excessive violence? Reallyreally scary?

I've been reading reviews in the papers (since I had nothing else to do all night at work, it's been DEAD lately due to cold rain and high gas prices) and one common thread in all of them seems to be "How the heck did this get only a PG-13?" So apparently it's right on the line between PG-13 and R... At least people have noted that it's not as bloody as 300, but I haven't seen that either. ;)

Ahhh, so possibly I should go with Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium instead. ^ ^ Which, honestly, I just want to see because I love Natalie Portman in short hair.

Ryn says, just from what she knows of the legend, it will probably be violent with strong sexual overtones. (She's going to another movie, but will be seeing this one later.)

I'd say you might want to give it a pass with the little people.
