I am sometimes really curious what goes on in some people's minds, on how they justify their behavior or if they are aware that they are being douchbags ( Read more... )

Cause the only reasons I can come up with is that they either think they are better than 'us' and deserve it, or that they are fully aware and do it because they can get away with it.

Both. Utterly both. I worked in one particular office where the mentality was "our time is more valuable than anyone else's, we demand the best quality but are unwilling to pay premium prices to obtain it, and we absolutely will get our way if we behave like loud aggressive assholes".

It was a law office, go figure. :P

Reminds me of a time I was in a very long immigration line at an airport, and some guy pushed through going, "'scuse me, 'scuse me," as if he was supposed to be somewhere else. I saw him stop about 20 spaces ahead of me. I spent the rest of my time in line having a fantasy about the rest of the queue having an uprising against his douchebag rudeness. Bastard.

I am all with you.

It is a good thing I am not 6 foot 5. Cause I think if I had any chance of winning, there would have been punching on multiple occasions.
