i have to say i'm honestly aprehensive janis. i work over 40 hrs a week at crazy time (i get up for work at 2:45 am and go to bed around 8 pm) and with Nuts & Bolts i don't have much free time.
what sort of piece would you have in mind? if i could get something with out a great length i might be able to comply. i'll start looking into choices. who else is directing? ed told me he was (or was looking forward to)

(p.s. i've heard you have some bad blood with N&B, but you should try and make it out, we're doing some real funny stuff.)

Yay for honest.

The way it works is if you have a peice (monolouge to up to 20 min one act) you submit a proposal and if its approved then you get a small budget and support. Rehersal scheduling and what not is handled by the director so they can be whenever you want them to be. Tech week everyone assembels and put the shin dig together.

I'd like to see what you can do even if it means you direct someone in a short monologue. You'd have almost 3 1/2 months to btw.

Bad blood? Not with anyone currenlty involved in the shows - more like I wasnt happy with the managerial choices that were being made and relized if I had such opinions I should go direct myself - and I did - with no regrets.

when's the do date for submissions? i will have to see what i can read and what i might like to do. (is there a format to the perposal?

and since there's no bad blood, then you should totaly make it out to our next show! it's the weekend after thanksgiving. we (and by that i mainly mean me ;)) are getting really good. i was pretty happy with my performance last weekend! no matter how much training and soforth, i still feel underprepared. what are you going to do though?
